In collaboration with Group Effort, Vendetta Entertainment will be hosting a Directors Treatment workshop. The workshop will focus on both advertising and narrative content (features, shorts, docs, new media) and enable participants to explore the possibility to create Director treatments for themselves as creators or for commercial pitches.
Group Effort’s production bootcamp is a daylong workshop to provide an intensive entry-level production assistant training, insight into various aspects of production, and creative networking opportunities.
The Group Effort team will be leading a resume workshop for participants interested in receiving tips and tricks on how to polish their resume.
Group Effort will be co-hosting a virtual production assistant training session with Ryan Murphy's Half Initiative Production Assistant Intensive Program. The training will have former Half Initiative trainees share advice about what skills you need as a PA and what the day-to-day production experience is like.
Group Effort will be hosting a virtual Orientation and Resume Workshop for new participants. Participants will have the opportunity to learn tips and tricks on how to improve their resume as well as engage in peer-to-peer feedback through breakout sessions. During orientation, participants will hear from the Group Effort team about program offerings and how to prepare for the job search process.
Group Effort will be co-hosting a virtual event with IATSE Local 871 for an informational session on script supervising and the union pathway.
Ryan Murphy's The HALF Initiative and Group Effort will co-host a virtual two-part camera and cinematography workshop led by industry professionals that have worked on various TV shows (9-1-1, Scream Queens, American Horror Story, Glee) and films (Memento, The Italian Job). Part one will be a panel discussion focusing on topics like breaking down scenes, different camera department roles on set, working with directors to prep and shoot scenes, and more. At the end of the first session, attendees will be assigned groups to work together on a creative assignment to present during the second session. In part two, panelists will provide direct feedback to each group on their presentation.

Disney General Entertainment will be hosting a virtual workshop focusing on navigating an entertainment career as a production assistant with an emphasis on professional development strategies and practices. Presenters will focus on discussing how to build a PA resume and defining actionable career guidelines and insights, such as identifying the target audience, joining professional groups, understanding and tracking the trades, job placement and outreach, and maintaining relationships.
Group Effort will co-host a virtual event with NPACT, who will provide more insight into the unscripted industry, as well as provide professional development training.
Group Effort will be hosting virtual group mock interviews with FilmNation representatives. Participants will receive constructive feedback from FilmNation reps to improve their interview skills for internships and entry-level positions.
Group Effort will be kicking off the 2023-2024 Mentorship Program with a virtual launch event for the first cohort.
