• 2023 Group Effort Production Bootcamp

    In partnership with Netflix, the Group Effort Production Bootcamp is a daylong workshop that provides entry-level production assistant training, insight into various aspects of production, and networking opportunities.

  • Group Effort Interview Workshop

    Group Effort hosted a virtual Interview Workshop on Wednesday, January 31, from 12:00 PM - 1:30 PM PT via Zoom. Participants had the opportunity to learn tips and tricks on how to improve their interviews as well as engage in peer-to-peer feedback through breakout sessions.

  • Group Effort Resume Workshop

    Group Effort conducted a virtual resume workshop for participants, giving them the best tips and tricks for crafting a resume and how to make it stand out. Participants also had the opportunity to get their resume reviewed by Group Effort staff.

  • Mentorship Launch

    Group Effort held its Mentorship Program Cohort One Launch to welcome mentors and mentees into the program, as well as provide them with resources for a successful mentorship pairing.

  • Scriptation 101 Training

    Scriptation: The Basics and Beyond! Participants received training on how to use Scriptation - the Emmy® award-winning app for film and TV production. Participants learned all of the essential tools to streamline workflows from pre-production to post.

  • Virtual Group Office Hours – East Coast

    Group Effort is thrilled to host its first virtual office hours for our East Coast Participants. Industry professionals will work with Group Effort participants one-on-one to polish their job submission materials, such as cover letters and resumes, and provide interview pointers that are crucial to secure entertainment careers. Industry professionals can also share their journeys and offer career advice if time permits.

  • Group Effort x C3 Management

    Group Effort co-hosted a virtual event with C3 Management. C3 introduced their work as artists managers, as well as some of the other fields in the music industry that they are adjacent to, and some of the soft/hard skills needed for this line of work. They also touched on the different ways the music industry and film industry intersect.

  • Local 600 Info Session

    This info session went over the path to joining the Local 600 Camera Union as a member within a few years of working as a PA. This session helped participants understand the benefits of being a union member and specific information about Local 600 and what crafts they cover.
