GEI will be co-hosting an in-person event at the AGBO offices in Los Angeles. Attendees will have the chance to hear from a panel of industry professionals and receive professional development training as well as peer networking opportunities.

Ryan Murphy's The HALF Initiative and GEI will co-host a virtual two-part camera and cinematography workshop led by industry professionals that have worked on various TV shows (9-1-1, Scream Queens, American Horror Story, Glee) and films (Memento, The Italian Job). Part one will be a panel discussion focusing on topics like breaking down scenes, different camera department roles on set, working with directors to prep and shoot scenes, and more. At the end of the first session, attendees will be assigned groups to work together on a creative assignment to present during the second session. In part two, panelists will provide direct feedback to each group on their presentation.

Disney General Entertainment will be hosting a virtual workshop focusing on navigating an entertainment career as a production assistant with an emphasis on professional development strategies and practices. Presenters will focus on discussing how to build a PA resume and defining actionable career guidelines and insights, such as identifying the target audience, joining professional groups, understanding and tracking the trades, job placement and outreach, and maintaining relationships.
GEI will co-host a virtual event with NPACT, who will provide more insight into the unscripted industry, as well as provide professional development training.
GEI and The MBS Group have crafted a four-day introductory Production Assistant training for participants in the Los Angeles area. This training will be conducted over two weekends and is designed for participants who have little to no PA experience and would like to be prepared for future PA placement opportunities.

As part of the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC)'s Rewrite the Future initiative, NRDC will be facilitating an in-person Climate Storytelling 101 workshop. ABOUT NRDC: NRDC works to safeguard the earth—its people, its plants and animals, and the natural systems on which all life depends. Rewrite the Future aims to enlist the power of storytelling to help us turn the climate crisis around. NRDC offers a range of support to encourage more, varied, and compelling climate stories in entertainment, including content experts and story consulting, events and workshops, and help with new project development.
GEI will be co-hosting with Multitude Films for an in-person NYC event. Open with a panel presentation by Multitude Films' Vice President, Anya Rous, Head of Production, Sweta Vohra, and Producer, Colleen Cassingham. Panelists will share Multitude's origin story and approach as a production company and speak about their roles on the team. Next, they will share examples of productions Multitude has worked on, touching on the production process from development to distribution, and showing trailers/film clips.
