What is GEI?

The Group Effort Initiative (GEI) exists to create a pipeline for members of underrepresented communities to get real experience towards lasting careers within the entertainment industry.

Are there any restrictions to be considered for GEI? (age, experience, etc.)

GEI welcomes individuals that are age 18 and over with varying experience levels to apply for the program.

Does GEI guarantee a job placement?

On both the production and corporate side, hiring decisions are made by the respective company. While GEI cannot guarantee job placement, participants are welcome to attend year-round professional development trainings to polish their application materials.

What does the program offer for participants?

Participants of the GEI program are eligible for:

  • Job Placement Assistance with Paid Internships, Entry-Level Job Opportunities and On-set Production Assistant (PA) Opportunities
  • Mentorships
  • Educational Workshops
