NYC Paramount Site Visit

Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about the script to screen process from panelists and be able to network as well.

NYC WME Site Visit

GEI will be co-hosting an in-person event at the NYC WME offices to hear from professionals at the talent agency and gain insight into representing clients across a multitude of positions in entertainment.

GEI Orientation and Resume Workshop

GEI will be hosting a virtual Orientation and Resume Workshop for new participants. Participants will have the opportunity to learn tips and tricks on how to improve their resume as well as engage in peer-to-peer feedback through breakout sessions. During orientation, participants will hear from the GEI team about program offerings and how to prepare for the job search process.

GEI 2023 Annual Bootcamp

GEI's annual bootcamp, which is in its sixth year, is a daylong workshop that provides targeted professional development training, company partner panels and guest speakers, and networking opportunities for our participants.

GEI x Sony Pictures TV Nonfiction NYC Event

GEI will be co-hosting an in-person event with the Sony Pictures Television - Nonfiction (SPTN) team at their New York City offices. Speakers will share their experiences working in nonfiction entertainment, including their career journeys and their current day-to-day responsibilities at their respective companies. Following the panel, attendees will participate in a professional development workshop and group networking sessions with representatives from the company.

GEI x Anomaly Site Visit

GEI will be co-hosting an in-person event at the Anomaly offices in NYC to learn more about the projects the creative agency develops and gain insight from a panel of Creative and Production professionals.

GEI x AGBO Professional Development Event

GEI will be co-hosting an in-person event at the AGBO offices in Los Angeles. Attendees will have the chance to hear from a panel of industry professionals and receive professional development training as well as peer networking opportunities.

Half Initiative Camera Department Creative Workshop Part 1

Ryan Murphy's The HALF Initiative and GEI will co-host a virtual two-part camera and cinematography workshop led by industry professionals that have worked on various TV shows (9-1-1, Scream Queens, American Horror Story, Glee) and films (Memento, The Italian Job). Part one will be a panel discussion focusing on topics like breaking down scenes, different camera department roles on set, working with directors to prep and shoot scenes, and more. At the end of the first session, attendees will be assigned groups to work together on a creative assignment to present during the second session. In part two, panelists will provide direct feedback to each group on their presentation.

GEI x Disney General Entertainment Virtual Production Assistant Professional Development Training

Disney General Entertainment will be hosting a virtual workshop focusing on navigating an entertainment career as a production assistant with an emphasis on professional development strategies and practices. Presenters will focus on discussing how to build a PA resume and defining actionable career guidelines and insights, such as identifying the target audience, joining professional groups, understanding and tracking the trades, job placement and outreach, and maintaining relationships.
