GEI co-hosted an in-person info session with Magnolia Pictures in NYC, introducing participants to independent film distribution and marketing.
In collaboration with Lionsgate, GEI co-hosted an in-person professional development event about soft skills in NYC.
GEI participants got the opportunity to visit Verve for a soft-skills focused event. The event included a panel of Verve agents and a "How to Pitch Yourself" segment led by one of Verve's Managing Partners. Participants also had the chance to hear from Verve Founders Bryan Besser and Adam Levine.
GEI's 2024 Annual Bootcamp was a day-long professional development event that included industry panels and a lunch networking session with company partners. Panels covered scripted development, unscripted development, animation, publicity/PR, and talent representation.
GEI and FilmNation Entertainment co-hosted a virtual interview workshop. FilmNation employees conducted mock interviews with participants, giving them real-time feedback.
GEI conducted a virtual resume workshop for participants, giving them the best tips and tricks for crafting a resume and how to make it stand out. Participants also had the opportunity to get their resume reviewed by GEI staff.
GEI was excited to offer participants a behind-the-scenes look at the marketing and publicity campaigns behind Deadpool and Wolverine. The event also included a panel on Maximum Effort Productions that touched on development and production in the company.
GEI was excited to offer participants an exclusive event with talent management company, Entertainment 360. Participants received personalized resume feedback, met with the Head of HR, and learned about their talent/literary management and production work!
In collaboration with AMC, GEI co-hosted an in-person info session about different career paths at AMC, including internships and how to work your way from entry-level careers into mid-level careers, and will include information about how companies often recruit for these roles and advice and best practices for those who are starting out in their career. This was great opportunity to connect with AMC Network's Talent Acquisition team before their summer internship applications release and to gain insight on what AMCN specifically looks for in entry-level and mid-level candidates.
In collaboration with FuboTV, GEI co-hosted an in-person info session in New York about different career paths at FuboTV and transferable skills. Panelists included Director of Talent Acquisition, Director of Marketing Operations, Sr. Director of Marketing, VP of Ad Sales, Director of Communications, and VP of Business Development.
GEI hosted a networking mixer for all participants in the NYC and New Jersey area! This was a great opportunity to connect with peers in the entertainment industry – participants joined us for some light bites and drinks as they got to know their fellow participants.
