  • Corporate Creative 2025 Annual Bootcamp (LA)

    Group Effort Initiative (Group Effort)'s Annual Bootcamp is a daylong workshop that provides targeted professional development training, company partner panels and guest speakers, and networking opportunities for our participants.

  • Matthews Grip Tour (LA)

    Matthews Grip opened its doors to participants, who were able to see the ins and outs of the most popular and versatile grip equipment in the entertainment industry. Seeing equipment go from raw materials to fine tuned and set ready, Matthews walked participants through the use and mindset behind some of the most important pieces of grip equipment.

  • BRIC Production Bootcamp (LA)

    The courses blend virtual instruction, self-paced assignments, work-based learning, and a final capstone showcase. Participants gain industry exposure, complete BRIC digital badges, and earn a certificate of completion to support future career pathways. The skills needed to succeed in creative production management and opportunities to access high-wage careers in the industry.

  • Mentorship Mixer at Narrator (LA)

    This is our first mixer for all Mentors and Mentees who have participated in our Mentorship Program to date! This in-person event was a great opportunity to meet your fellow mentors & mentees, reconnect with a previous mentor/mentee, and connect with your current mentor/mentee.

  • Disney Breaking In Panel (LA)

    Group Effort and Disney hosted a moderated panel and Q&A featuring professionals from both corporate and production areas at Disney. This session explored how hiring works across the company, what recruiters and managers look for in candidates, and tips for standing out.

  • In Person Office Hours (LA)

    We invited industry professionals and leaders to work with Group Effort participants one-on-one to polish their job submission materials, such as cover letters and resumes, and provide interview pointers that are crucial to secure entertainment careers. Industry professionals also shared their journeys and offered career advice.

  • Mentorship Day Event with Dark Slope Studios (Canada)

    Group Effort Initiative and Dark Slope hosted a full-day, in-person mentorship session focused on careers in Virtual Production. This experience was designed to give participants real-world exposure to the tools, workflows, and roles shaping the future of production. Led by industry experts working at the forefront of virtual production, this session includes technical presentations, creative role breakdowns, and a hands-on opportunity to work on a live virtual production scene.

  • John Candy: I Like Me World Premiere (Canada)

    Group Effort Initiative would invite up 8 attendees, including 3 Group Effort staff, 2 Dark Slope partners, and 3 Group Effort participants to attend the evening reception and World Premiere.

  • Titmouse Animation Event (LA)

    Group Effort invited participants to an exclusive in-studio event at Titmouse, a leading independent animation studio. This session was designed for individuals interested in exploring career paths in animation and gaining a behind-the-scenes look at how a professional animation studio operates. The event included a presentation on careers in animation, insights from a member of the Titmouse creative and production team, and the opportunity to hear from studio leadership.
