Abraham Herrera

Abraham Herrera is a film director, producer, writer, editor, and animator who has a strong appreciation for visual storytelling. He underwent a dual-degree at Rhode Island School of Design and Brown University before transferring to Columbia College where he earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts with a 3.99 GPA. As a creator, Abraham is interested in exploring the magical qualities of cinema through a variety of stories, usually within folklore or cute colorful fables. He hopes to increase the popularity of international films within the United States through his producing and development efforts. During his time with Group Effort Initiative, Abraham has interned at FilmNation Entertainment, Rideback, and Somesuch. These positions helped Abraham gain further knowledge and passion within the realm of visual storytelling through improving his skills within creative development while at the same time teaching him how to balance this with administrative responsibilities. Through the help of Group Effort Initiative, Abraham was able to thrive at school, find a community of like-minded individuals, and gain valuable experience within the entertainment industry.
