Our Participants

Melissa Fairclough has always wanted to work in the film industry, specifically working with and designing clothes. While pursuing a double major in Costume and Cinema and Media Studies at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Canada, she worked on a total of six theater productions in the costume department. Melissa then became a part of GEI, where she worked as a trainee on The Adam Project. Her experience has lended her opportunities on the CBC Canada shows Pretty Hard Cases and TallBoyz as a wardrobe assistant. Currently, Melissa is working as the Wardrobe Background Coordinator on the Apple TV+ children show Jubilee. Her hands-on learning experience has focused on garment construction including, sewing, tailoring, drafting and design. Through her many roles, Melissa has gained meaningful set experience working with amazing designers, and hopes to become a Costume Designer herself someday.
