Group Effort conducted a virtual resume workshop for participants, giving them the best tips and tricks for crafting a resume and how to make it stand out. Participants also had the opportunity to get their resume reviewed by Group Effort staff.
Group Effort was excited to offer participants an exclusive event with talent management company, Entertainment 360. Participants received personalized resume feedback, met with the Head of HR, and learned about their talent/literary management and production work!
Group Effort is hosted in-person office hours for participants to meet with industry professionals. Participants had the opportunity to have their job submission materials reviewed and be given interview pointers from professionals and leaders in the entertainment industry.
Sony Pictures Television Nonfiction provided an overview of nonfiction development and introduced their development pods, which have developed iconic shows like 90 Day Fiancé, Love After Lockup, and American Idol. Afterwards, attendees sharpened their interview skills with a mock interview session!
Group Effort’s inaugural Mid Level Bootcamp was a daylong event for Group Effort participants with at least 3-5 years of entertainment work experience who are moving up the career ladder to mid-level roles. Attendees learned about personal branding, competitive interview skills, applying employer feedback, and leadership etiquette to equip them for managerial and higher-level positions. The bootcamp also included a specialized software editing workshop and networking mixer with our industry partners!

Industry professionals will work with Group Effort participants one-on-one to polish their job submission materials, such as cover letters and resumes, and provide interview pointers that are crucial to secure entertainment careers. Industry professionals can also share their journeys and offer career advice if time permits.
Group Effort Initiative (Group Effort)'s Annual Bootcamp is a daylong workshop that provides targeted professional development training, company partner panels and guest speakers, and networking opportunities for our participants.
The courses blend virtual instruction, self-paced assignments, work-based learning, and a final capstone showcase. Participants gain industry exposure, complete BRIC digital badges, and earn a certificate of completion to support future career pathways. The skills needed to succeed in creative production management and opportunities to access high-wage careers in the industry.

As part of our EIF Careers Program Industry Roundtable series — and in celebration of Group Effort Initiative’s Five-Year Anniversary — entertainment industry employers will come together to explore inclusive strategies for workforce development. Throughout the day, Human Resources, Corporate Social Responsibility, and Early Career Program professionals will examine how apprenticeships, mentorship, and skills training can strengthen recruitment pipelines, expand opportunities, and build lasting careers in entertainment. This joint effort between EIF and Group Effort Initiative highlights the shared commitment to building sustainable, inclusive solutions for workforce challenges in entertainment.
